  1. Decided to order some wheel skins for my OEM rims. I actually like OEMs but was I mulling getting high end blackout rims however I unsure.. Came across these wheel skins online and decided to give them a try first since its not sinking a ton of money into new rims and rubbers. Fits right over your OEM. Installation was fast and easy. Doesn't leave a lip like some of the others out there. Going to see how long the last and go from there.. Next improvement... I have a wrap guy going to work his magic Friday. 2016 FFH - original owner and still in love with this car...
  2. Hi, Tomorrow I'm buying the car (2006 Fusion SE 108K miles) from a friend and had a few questions, any help would be appreciated. 1) The biggest issue he can think of is that the AC comes on sometimes without him turning it on; he just toggles if on then off and it shuts off. Anyone know if this is a precursor to anything down the line? 2) I have headlights, a new battery, and sport rims (215/45/17) from my 2006 Civic EX coupe (200k miles) that I'd like to put on this car. Will the rims fit the car correctly and do the headlights have the same connection? Can I just switch batteries over? 3) Anything to look for down the line that could keep me from draining a lot of money into this car? I'm hoping this can hold me over for a couple years until I have a shorter commute. Thank you for any and all help!!!!!!!
  3. I recently got new wheels for my 2010 Ford Fusion, so I am now selling the set of chrome MB Spark wheels that I had on it. The wheels are full chrome face, in great shape, with no road rash or other scratches on them. They are 5 x 114.3 / 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern and will require slim 'spline-drive' lug nuts. Full disclosure - I bought the wheels 3 year ago, and found out after I bought them that 1 had a 1" crack in it. I was able to find a professional welder who specializes in aluminum and alloy metal welding, who was able to do a fantastic job repairing the crack. That was 3 years ago, and I have had the wheels on my car the entire 3 years since, with zero issues. During this time, I also changed out the tires twice. The weld is good, it holds air, and does not cause any issues. Zero rust. The tires are ready to mount, have been cleaned, and will require that you mount your TPMS sensors on them. ***** Asking price is $325. Shipping these would likely get quite expensive, so I'm thinking local pickup only (Phoenix, AZ). If you'd really like me to ship, and you're willing to pay the cost to ship, I'm willing to consider.
  4. 2006 Fusion se has standard steel wheels with hubcaps. Stock hubcaps just fall of so looking to replace with aluminum or painted rims. Wondering if anyone has replaced steel wheels and if so what other ford vehicles transfer over to the 2006 16" wheels. Thank you.
  5. Is there a certain brand or does anyone sell specific touch up paint for the Sport wheels? It seems darker than all my other silver sparkle wheels (2017 Escape, 2015 Fusion with the Sport Appearance wheels), but lighter than some Rustoleum sparkly silver wheel paint (that I used to paint some brake caliper brackets) that I have. I plan on smoothing, filling with Bondo where needed, priming, and painting these, since they are appearance wise what makes the Sport a Sport. I prefer chrome or polished wheels, but will stick with these for awhile. I am not sure how people curb wheels this bad, but it is just cosmetic. I am testing different color primers and number of coats of the paint I have, I started with a sandable etching primer that is darker grey, but I have some lighter (so I could do a guide coat on a bumper cover) that might help, and on coat 4 it seems to be getting lighter with more flake and less transparency.
  6. I found a nice set of 18x9.5 rims I really like will this fit on my 2012 Fusion SEL FWD
  7. found these on kijiji - used to be on a mustang so came with 245/45/17s 2 tires had to be replaced but still a good deal definitely feel the ride is a bit rougher steering kind of feels heavier also going over bumps i feel the car kind of wobble from left to right? not sure if this is normal with the differet rim or wider tire? thoughts on that would be great edit: car is a 2011 and has 82,000kms (51k miles) just had a brake service so pads and rotors are fine could maybe be alignment? heres a pic
  8. Hey everyone! So I just made my first big purchase for my 2014 Ford Fusion. I bought Pegasus Lexani 20' rims for her! I've done some research around it and I figured I would also just ask some general questions for all of you who are more knowledgeable than me. 1. What are some general concerns and some things I should know with 20 inch rims on my car? 2. Any recommendations on some low-profile tires for the 20' rims? 3. I know the rim size change will affect my speedometer (I believe it will read ~5-10mph faster than what I'm actually going) Is there anyway to change that? I would appreciate some general info or anything you guys have to offer! Thanks for the help everyone, ~ Bryson Dahlin
  9. I just recently entered the ford fusion family as i just bought a used 2012 ford fusion sport. great deal for it! its black and although new the rims have pretty severe scratches on the passenger sides. I asked my dealer if he could put rims from a 2013 fusion on it and he said it shouldn't be a problem. my question is will they fit? i want to black out the outside of my car (the wheels and the windows 20%) so was hoping to put these on Wheels - 18 Inch PVD Dark Chrome Kit So will these fit, if not does anybody know of ford brand rims that are 18in and black that will fit my vehicle thanks!
  10. Mounted and balanced, comes with center caps, lugnuts, and tpms sensors installed. These were my summer set for my recently wrecked 2014 Fusion hybrid. The wheels are in pristine condition and the tires have about 15k on them. This set looked incredible on my gray Fusion! 5x108 lug pattern. 18" by 8" wide. Looking for $800 but I'm open to offers. Feel free to ask any questions.
  11. Hi everyone, I am looking at FINALLY putting some winter wheels on my 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium. I currently have the 19" rims on. I am looking on craigslist and found the following and was wondering if they would work? Wheel size is 15" X 7". Dual bolt pattern 5 X 108 mm (5 X 4.25"), or 5 X 114.3 (5 X 4.5"). Offset is 35 mm, which is 5.25" backspacing. They come with winter tires as well, which are Hankook Winter Pike. 215/60R-15. All 4 for $100, which seems like a steal. The guy listed them as dinged up with some scratches but what do I care for winter. Let me know what you think! Thanks!
  12. Hello Ford people, I'm looking for winter type rims to swap out for winter time only. I have 2008 Ford Fusion SEL; 255/50 17" R tires and rims. These tires suck in the snow due to they are to wide and the Continental (sp?) tire is unstable feeling as if I'm floating all over the road. I'm looking to see if I am able to put on a Narrower Rim but keep the 17". Is this doable without messing up the car? What do I look for when I search for a narrower rim size? Thank you for your input and knowledge.
  13. Hi, I recently purchased a 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium w/19" rims. I live in Buffalo NY and winter is quickly approaching. I was looking at putting on a set of 'winter rims' and tires. I looked up the bolt pattern and it specifies as a 5x108. I typed this into craigslist and found a set of 4-16" rims with a 5x108 bolt pattern off of a 98 Ford Taurus. It states that the rims are OEM of that car. Does anyone know if these will work? I know close to nothing about cars so I hope that i have given sufficient information. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!
  14. Hey guys, this is the first time I've posted here, so hopefully I'm doing this right. So I love these rims, but they're 19" by 8.5. I absolutely love the pattern, but I can't find any with the right size tire to compensate for the much bigger rim. I really don't want to go buy the rims and then pay another 800 for tires. I find these on craigslist, and for 600 with the tires already on them with very low miles. The reason I'm saying all of this is because I don't want to have that big of a rim on my car. I think it looks really cool in pictures and when I see it pass by me on the street, but its just not something I would have on my personal car. In addition to that, Id prefer to keep the speedometer as close to as it is now as possible. So my question to everyone is, have you seen or know of any rims that look like these do, but in 18" rather than 19? An 18" wheel with the right tire will be a lot easier to work with for the speedometer and odometer. Thanks guys
  15. i have a real plain jane i want to dress up. but i like the look of steel wheels. (like Nascar) found a rim (the Nascar 614) i like but was wondering if it was quality. also, am annoyed because they dont sell 2013 fusion bolt pattern in the OEM 16" rim size that would mean i would have to junk the Goodyears i have. wouldnt make sense. anyone have anything they can offer?
