  1. So... Love the FFH but as its getting older I've run into an annoying thing... This was second time I brought my FFH into ford around the same time of the year 1 year apart.. I follow the normal oil change guide regarding how much time or mileage between changes as well as watching the oil quality sensor. Well, in the spring I've gotten this power sucking feeling after I've stopped the vehicle after driving it for a long period of time. It will throw a light but still drives okay. just very under powered. If I wait over night the power suck is gone until the long drive, turned off for a period then starting it up again the issue returns. So they replaced the sensor and did an oil change like last time and no issues.. This time around the oil quality gauge said it was at 83% and my oil change sticker said I was 1 month out till the next change... Anybody else experience this as well? The dealer says I need to get an oil change more frequent the the every 6 months I've been doing.
  2. I bought a used 2010 Fusion Hybrid in January. Since I looked at it on the lot before I bought it, the AC has a consistent habit of going out after functioning for a short time. Typically, the unit either stops blowing, or it blows at such a low level as to be essentially non-functional. I pointed this out to the used car dealer before I bought it; he had a guy repair some wiring. The unit continued to function inconsistently. Some time after we bought the car, we took it to our independent mechanic. He replaced a sensor and charged us $400. The unit continued to perform inconsistently. While on a cross-country road trip this summer, the unit stopped functioning, and my wife took the car to a Ford dealer. He cleaned out a filter and charged us $400. The unit continued to perform inconsistently. Last week, my wife took the car back to our mechanic. He said the freon was low; he charged the unit, but not us. The unit continued to perform inconsistently. We're on a road trip right now to San Antonio from Fort Worth, and the unit has gone out. We have the windows down. Anybody recognize this problem?

    AC Issues

I currently have a 2013 Ford Fusion and the outside temperature reads 50°. -39 and I replaced ambient air temperature sensor today and it is still not working it could be a wiring problem? Thanks
  4. I just found a hose has broken off what looks like a sensor heading toward the main engine cylinder compartment, but I'm not sure what it really is or does. Easy fix, just need to know what I'm looking at to order a new one. The left of the two in the closeup pic is what I'm referring to, please help!
  5. Hey all, I have a 2011 Ford Fusion SEL, 3.0 L. The car was blowing ice-cold air one evening. I parked it, and the following morning it would only blow neutral / hot air. After taking it to 2 shops we've confirmed the AC evaporator discharge temperature sensor went out. The car is a few thousand miles over the 36,000 mile factory train warranty. Has anyone experienced a scenario like this and managed to get it repaired anyways? I'm kind of annoyed that I bought a fairly new car to avoid big hassles like this, and multiple things *transmission too* start going out right after "warranty." From what I've read, it's a 5+ hour project to get this little $20-30 part replaced because it's DEEP in the dashboard. If that's the case I suppose I'll just drive around without AC for awhile and do some research and attempt to fix it myself, though I'm no car person.
  6. 2008 Ford fusion S 76k miles. I understand that this forum is for newer models of ford fusions but there are more viewers in these forums. One or both of my O2 sensors have been out for about five months now (i just found out recently that they are pretty important to replace). About two months ago, i started up my car and the rpms went from about 1200 to about 800 and the wrench light came on. Car would be technically drivable but acceleration was about 60-70% of what it used to be. I looked at the forums and found that you can turn the key to the radio position for about 30 seconds and it would get rid of it. It went away for a couple of weeks but then reappeared. The wrench light became more frequent and putting the car into the radio position started not working. I thought my throttle body was going bad so i had my mechanic replace it. The wrench light still came on after it was replaced so he put back the original throttle body.Took it into a ford dealership with the wrench light on when they tested it and they said that they couldnt pull any codes. Because they couldnt pull any codes they think that it may be a shorted wire or something wrong with one of the wires. The invoice they printed off said "Inspected for fault will need to trace wiring harness to determine where break is in relation to secondary air injection circuit A out of range. may end up needing new pump could possibly take up to 5 hours to repair." I declined service because they said at the minimum it would cost $500 and i dont feel like they truly know whats going on with it. I wouldnt want them to tear into it and find nothing and i would be out $500. My thoughts are that it might be something to do with my o2 sensors needing replaced for so long. Any suggestions? TL:DR o2 sensors have been out for a while. wrench light came on. 60-70% of acceleration as before it happened. no wrench light codes were able to be pulled.

  8. The ABS light on my 2009 Fusion has been coming on intermittently but longer each time. Dealer diagnosed and replaced ABS control module, but light is still on. He now wants to replace whole computer, expensive as heck. Any ideas on what the problem could be? Car only has 44K miles.
  9. Long story short- I need to re-wire a new MAP sensor on my '11 2.5L Fusion. Color chart would be great, or even a picture of the wires on your cars engine would be great Note: the sensor has 4 wires but I can only find 3 wires to hook it up to. One wire may be unused! Edit: the pics need to be rotated 90°
