2010 Fusion SE 2.5L Hello, I'm new to the site, I've never had to post on a Forum before now but here I am because I can't find any answers on the internet. I will go into detail of all the events in case someone else has the same issue. About a month ago, I replaced my battery and made the mistake of connecting it the wrong way. My excuse is that it was dark out, oops. The terminals were only connected to the car for a split second because when I connected the car's ground wire to the positive terminal on the battery, I saw the sparks and realized I was an idiot. Repositioned the battery properly, connected the terminals and started the car. Everything was fine except the radio and some button backlighting wasn't working. I figured I was lucky. After checking all the fuses and replacing the blown ones, the radio and the backlighting work again. But then, a couple days later I was driving home and the "Service power steering now" and "Service advancetrac" warning messages popped up but the power steering still worked. UNTIL, I got home, turned the car off then turned it back on and at that point I had lost power steering. Fast forward a month of researching online and taking the car to a shop to diagnose, they said that the steering angle sensor was reading something like 2000 degrees to the left but the PCM seemed to be fine. I didn't want to pay them to do anything further so I wrote down the codes and decided to order a new steering angle sensor. However, when I finally took off the steering wheel and clock spring to replace the sensor, I found that in the space where there was supposed to be the sensor, there was an empty hole and I did not see any dangling wire behind the steering column to plug into my new sensor. Am I missing something here? Does the clockspring in the 2010 SE 2.5L contain a steering angle sensor inside it? The steering angle sensor part number: 6L2T-3F818-AC Here are the codes that came up: U0253 "Lost communication with accessory protocol interface module" U0028 "Vehicle communication Bus A" C1277 "Steering wheel angle 1 and 2 circuit malfunction" Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I have a 2013 Fusion, the first few times this happened I was getting gas after running around town and I went to start the car and everything turned on, AC working radio working etc all like normal. But I couldnt accelerate at all, it would just shift into drive like normal and just coast. I would turn the car off and turn it back on and itd be fine. It didnt occur very often, maybe once or twice in several months. Then my AC went out, went and got the hose replaced since there was a leak. Got the car back from the shop and it started happening more frequently. Now its not just when getting gas but any random time I try to start it. The scariest part was when I was crossing a busy intersection and the engine just shut off and wouldnt accelerate, I had to throw my hazards on and pull over and turn it off then back on again. Went about my business and not even an hour later it did it again when I was pulling out of a driveway. Shortly after that I tried to take a look at it, popped the hood, turned the car on and it didnt even take 2 minutes before the engine just stopped running. Took it back to the shop and they have a few guesses, theyre thinking its one of the many fuel sensors. The check engine lights giving a couple codes but they cant tell which ones doing it, especially because they cant seem to replicate the issue at their shop. Car isnt under warrenty and after being told I could drop anywhere from $200-$1000 to replace the sensors and it still might not work Im honestly at a loss. Has anyone else had this issue and managed to fix it for good?

Good afternoon everyone, I have a 2012 Ford Fusion SEL with a 3.0L V6. I recently had the front windshield replaced. I have rain sensing wipers and all the sudden they do not work.... When you turn the knob once they cycle but after that they do not come on again. The only time they work is on high or ultra high. I was doing some research and cannot find anything on the rain sensing wipers for a ford, or any problems. I did however find different vehicles with rain sensing wipers and how a fix to this problem would be to reset the system.. Does anyone know if there is a way to reset it or what to do to get them to work again???? Thank you!!

So I came back from a weeks vacation recently where my fusion was sitting idle in my driveway while I was gone. I start it up when I returned only to get a "CHECK REAR PARK AID" message on my dash. This is a 2011 Fusion SE 3.0 V6. Never had an issue before. I tried troubleshooting the issue. Saw on youtube how you can check if the sensors are working by sticking the car in reverse and listening for a clicking noise emitted by the sensors. Now this is what stumped me. I can hear all 3 sensors "clicking" but the message remains. I tried pulling the fuse to sensors to see if I had to reset them but this was to no avail. Car is out of warranty obviously so taking it to the dealership is my least favorite option right now. At the least I would settle for just being able to shut off the darn reminder I get every time I turn the car on. Thanks for any help guys.
