  1. In the process of diagnosing a failed steering system on my 2014 FFH SE. I read around that the 12V battery is fairly critical to running all the electronic systems and at quick glance there was a reading of 10.x volts in FORScan somewhere. My question is that if the 12V battery was an issue with contributing yo the FSCM failure, wouldnt there be other modules failing also? Just a general question as I dive in the deep end to try and diagnose this issue myself before having a dealer dip into my wallet. Thanks
  2. I;m about to replace the EPAS steering rack on my 2011 2.5L with a rebuilt rack from Cardone. Note in box says "steering rack is required to be flashed to the specific application with the latest available software. All DTC's MUST be cleared after flash programming." Is this something only the dealer can do? Can ForScan do anything related to this? Thanks.
  3. So my car was in the shop last week because I got an error that said service advance Trac and service power steering now. Took it in to the dealer, they changed the whole steering rack (and its all electric as I have a Flex Fusion). Got it home yesterday, drove for a bit, and the code came right back! I don't know much about cars, anyone know what could cause this?
  4. A few days ago I had the Service Advance Trac and No Hill Assist messages come up on my dash, all power steering was lost. I finally got my car towed to the garage today to find out that there was corrosion all around the motor for the power steering where it is mounted to the steering rack. The rack is actually broken. I have seen posts all over the internet about these warnings on the dash, but not everyone has posted the outcome. Can you please let me know if you have had your steering rack actually break. Of course my car is just out of warranty, but the rack was only covered on the bumper to bumper, so any help from Fords is unlikely unless I can prove this has happened to other people. All the posts about the warnings are not good enough unless I can see that others have had their racks break on a 2013 Fusion. I am the first car my dealership has seen this happen too, and the car has been in for every maintenance and recall to date...
