Hello all, New member here hoping to find some answers. I am the original owner of a 2013 Energi, 185,000 miles. Never had any major issues with the car. Many minor ones .... inferior materials used in its production such as the plastic hood release handle ( replaced 5 times ) My most recent issue occurred after driving 60 miles to work. I had backed into my parking spot and placed the car in park. The power start button began to immediately flash green and I was unable to shift car out of gear. I proceeded to go to work in hopes that there was a glitch that needed time to reset. Once I returned to the car I was faced with the same situation. I had to pull apart the center console to access the transmission switch to get the car in neutral for a tow truck to transport back to my home. My local dealership has a 2 week lead time to even look at the car so I am now trying to fiddle. To date I have checked all fuses and relays, I have disconnected all grounds under the hood and wire brushed the connections to bare metal. I have also pulled out the High voltage connector behind the passenger seat and reconnected in attempt to reset the system. All to no avail. I am open to input. Also.... I have full power, lights, radio, brake lights etc... The dashboard is reading as if the car is in Low gear while its stuck in park. At this point I'm thinking it may be a transmission linkage that is broken. Im at a loss.....

Just wondering if anyone has had this issue with the interlock in their Fusions... I have a 2008 S 2.3L Automatic and just recently my shifter has been getting stuck in Park. I've checked the bulbs- they're all new, and the brake lights go on without issue. I've been able to tun the key to the 'On' position and shift into neutral to start the car, but recently the button on the shift knob has been sticking there too. I've had to resort to pushing the spare key into the override slot. After taking the plastic cover that hides the guts of the shifter I noticed that the little plastic tab that pulls back when the brakes are pressed is not pulling back to allow the button on the shift knob to be depressed to shift into a different gear. I've cleaned the solonoid up with Master Air Flow Sensor Cleaner and the issue is still happeneing. Could this be an issue with the electrical charge going from the brake trigger to the solonoid? Or could it be the solonid is fried? Any thoughts, advise, insight are appreciated!
