  1. Hi Team, I own a Ford fusion 2014 SE 1.5 Ecoboost with 79K miles on it. Recently, I experience stuttering issues. Initially, the engine turned off on a red signal and on a drive thru, post which during driving it got stuttered. I took the car to the service center and informed them the issue, they kept the vehicle for a whole and told me that they did not receive any engine codes for analysis. They charged me 70$ for diagnosis, they also informed me that when the car stops kindly do not turn the engine off as the codes would disappear. The service engineer also informed that they will not be of much help if there is no code. I am still experiencing the issue which is killing my driving experience. I bought a OBD2 scanner to find the code myself but not getting any codes but in I/M Fuel states not ready and misfire states ready. I seriously don't know what they mean. I am running in circles.
  2. I have a 2014 Ford Fusion SE FWD with the 2.0L turbocharged ecoboost engine. The transmission seems to stutter in third gear under heavy acceleration, but doesn’t seem to happen with normal acceleration. I have noticed that it only becomes an issue in third gear and has never happened in first or second gear. It usually occurs somewhere around 60 mph or about halfway through third gear, but i think the revs and current gear are more important to the issue than the speed. Yesterday, I tried leaving my foot glued to the floor while the issue occurred because I was curious what would happen since I usually just let off the gas and accelerate calmly and to my surprise, it happened until the engine issue light came on and flashed for about 20 seconds before going away and turning off completely. The light did not return, but the issue has not been resolved and I can only assume it would happen again if I tried, but I don’t want to damage the car. I think I noticed a slight cut in power after the engine light started blinking, but i could be wrong. Though, whatever cut in power I may have felt went away after the light stopped blinking. My car has been doing this for a couple months, but I try to avoid causing the issue to happen as to not damage the car. I must also mention that the car has not always done this in the two years of ownership. This has only been an issue in the past couple months and I change my oil and oil filter regularly as well as having no other issues with the car except for this. If anyone knows what is wrong or has a theory as to why my car is doing this, I would greatly appreciate a reply. Thank you. :) IMG_3809.MP4
  3. So here's the deal. I just bought a use 2006 Fusion-3.0 SE. The car is pretty stinking nice. I became a fan with the first drive. Very fast and nice looking. 119,000 miles on it. It's has few, but has been really well taken care of. OK. So that said, as the title says, I have a stutter when the car is running at any constant speed. Not while accelerating and I don't really notice it when braking, obviously. I've searched through the forums and Bing and Google as well. I have seen where other people have similar issues, but have yet to see any clear reason or definition as to why it is happening or what is happening. To add a little more detail, I do not have a MIL (check engine) light on. The car runs great during accelerating. Still has awesome power. Averages about 30.5 mpg at 62 mph-so gas mileage is still good. To be honest it feels like a misfire, but nothing shows when I scan it with the Torque app and Bluetooth OBD. But, when I select test results it has a few 'codes' (MID) that show up. Those are the ones I think may be causing my problem. I have it scheduled to go to a mechanic Friday, the 20th, but I would love to save that money if I can. So hopefully someone here can help me out and shed some light on what is going on. I included a few screen shots to show what the app shows. The codes in black are the ones in question. Maybe they can be of use. https://www.dropbox.com/s/l2tky8v3c2n9me2/Screenshot_2013-09-11-20-17-44.png https://www.dropbox.com/s/ml3970phbdwox2q/Screenshot_2013-09-11-20-17-37.png
