  1. I have a 2010 Fusion SE with a sunroof. Below both rear doors by there is an unusual amount of rust compared to the rest of the car. (About a 3x12" hole / damage) I'm wondering if the sun roof drains in this area for two reasons. One is that the cause? And two I plan to do a very backyard rust repair where you use expanding foam to fill in the huge hole and I don't want to clog the sunroof drains. I'll probably end up running water down the drain to see where it starts draining but if you know, it would make me feel better to know ahead of time!
  2. Hi I’m new to this forum but I have a 2012 Ford Fusion SE that has multiple water leaks. The first is a leak on either side of the trunk where the jack trays are I’ve noticed that when it rains water collects in these areas. I’ve sealed some of the parts where the clips go through with silicone and it seems to have helped just wondering if this is a common issue on these cars. Also I’m waiting on a new sunroof as the seal has a gap and rusted the frame; I used some silicone on that as well to keep most water out until I can replace it (hard to get replacement with virus right now). The headliner only gets wet on the drivers side corner, however driving home today water started dripping out of the sunglass holder but the headliner in the middle is perfectly dry... would that be part of the sunroof issue? Or a possible issue with the windshield seal? The drains are also working by the way. Sorry for the long post I’m just hoping I can get this figured out any help is appreciated. Thanks
  3. Just bought 2015 Fusion Energi Titanium. Im hearing gurgling sound coming from driver side of sunroof starting at 40 plus mph when raining. I haven't seen any water leaks as of yet (knock on wood) just a light gurgling sound rigjt above my head... Any kind of pump or drain for water in the sunroof that would cause this. No gaps noticed from outside, all looks nice and tight with a good seal. Everything works excellent. Any thoughts or anyone had this issue?
  4. Late last year I went to use my sunroof (to open completely) when I heard a loud "pop" followed by the sunroof not retracting. Short of forking over the ~$1000 it will cost to diagnose and fix the problem, I was wondering if anyone on here has had a similar issue. I see many issues with the sunroof not closing, but mine is the opposite. What I know so far: Reaching up into the track area, behind the rubber debris guard on the driver's side, I discovered plastic chunks the size of small pebble When trying to retract the sunroof into the headliner, it will not move When trying to raise the sunroof, one side (the passenger side) will raise completely while the other sits flush with the roof of the car Any suggestions on what could be wrong or similar experiences you'd like to share? Thanks!
  5. I'm cheap and don't want to go to the dealer... 2010 Fusion SEL moonroof will not close/seal. It will not go into "vent" mode. When I press "open" it moves about two inches, then stops. Press open again and it'll complete the open cycle. When I press close it'll close to the 2inch point and stop. Press close again and it will close, but will not seal. And holding down the close/vent button for 5 seconds will cause the motor to move the window, but not into any desired position, which would be vent in this case. Is there a "relearn procedure" that's not confusing to understand that will fix this issue? I've tried one I found on-line, but I'm pretty sure it's for an older model, or I'm not doing it correctly, or both. I've also removed the fuse and checked the track for blockages.
  6. New to owning a Fusion. Work at a Ford Dealer in Toronto, Canada. Wondering if anyone has a spare overhead cubby for a 2006-2009 Ford Fusion?
