  1. Car ran fine on the road for about 30 minutes. Stopped to visit a friend. Tried to start the car, put key in like always, turned the key, not a sound from the starter only the typical noises prior to the stater turning the motor over. Car has 160K miles has been running flawlessly with normal maintenance. Tried to jump start the car, still would not turn over. Had the vehicle towed to a reliable shop after about an hour of diagnosing the problem they determined that a fuse in the fuse box responsible for moving the power to the starter had blown. They told me that I would probably have this problem again and that there must be a short in the system that was causing the trans fuse to blow. I left the shop and was on my way home and the wrench light went on. I was afraid to turn the car off so I turned around took it back to the shop shut it off and again the car would not start. This is obviously something electrical. Looking for suggestions as to how to begin the start to trace the issue down? When I started the car at the repair shop after the repair, it started like it always had. After the wrench light turned on, the radiator fan went on and the gas gauge seemed to stop working or was working very slow, heater fan was working, radio was working. Dash and headlights worked just fine. Thoughts or suggestions?
