Michelle45 Posted October 29, 2018 Share Posted October 29, 2018 Good evening, I just bought a 2013 Fusion SE i have connected my phone via the sync Bluetooth with no problem however, I’m struggling with two things. 1) when a call comes in and I want to answer it via the phone so conversation is not through car speakers, the music on the radio goes all the way down 2) when connected to the Bluetooth and I want to send a voice text, it stops the radio as well as if I was going to make a call is there something I need to do to correct these issues? bangster Posted October 29, 2018 Share Posted October 29, 2018 (edited) Android or iPhone? Are you using Bluetooth Audio or one of the apps? I think all what you experience is normal, it mutes the music so you can hear the phone call, and it does the same for speaking text to it can get your voice only to turn it into text. Android assistant (in Android Auto) is pretty good about filtering out anything it is playing, but you still get the feeling that you have to talk over it, it usually also mutes when in "say a command" mode. I haven't played around enough with Sync in my 2015, but it worked exactly as I expected it to when I did just pair my phone and use Bluetooth Audio and Android Auto. I don't want to use Phone, App, Text, or anything else on the car, simply do what I do on my phone through Bluetooth audio. My daughter has struggled a few times with it, but generally it works so it keeps her eyes on the road and her mind on driving, not getting her iPhone music to stream or be able to make calls.
