firebuff312
Attention everybody...I just posted a topic in the TSB section titled, "2010 Fusion TSB, Regarding Hard Shifts". A TSB has been mailed and if you own a 2010 and haven't gotten yours yet expect it soon in the mail. It just may fix all of the transmission problems alot of 2010 owners are having. I posted further info in that section...
xmech2k
Got it a couple of weeks ago. Called and asked if it could wait 1000 miles to coincide with my oil change and they said no problem, so I'm taking in my car in a few hours.( It's 5AM) Actually, I think they called it a 'customer satisfaction campaign', or something like that? Or is this something new? Reprogram the trans and do some test. I guess it takes a few hours. Hope it doesn't turn into a disaster! Except for a couple of hard shifts early on, I've had no noticeable problems in the 10 months and almost 15K miles I've had this car. Rodeo
Took my new Milan on it's second long trip and leaving my house I had two hard shifts that snapped my head back a little bit. Felt like I was rear-ended by another car. After that is began shifting more normally again but this 6-speed tranny is squirrely, that's for sure. Some times you step on the gas and get hardly anything. Glad to hear theire's a fix coming.

Hi xmech. :D Yes, as you referred to, officially it is a "Customer Satisfaction Program" and it is not something new. The Program # is 10B15. To get a clearer notion of what this "Customer Satisfaction Program entails, you can read the official Ford notice here: LINK: CSP 10B15 Just on a side note, some people mistakenly call it a "recall". Even some Service Department staff accidentally use the word recall, either through simple error or just because it is easier to say "recall" to the customer than "Customer Satisfaction Program". But as can be seen in the memo (and by checking the NHTSA recall website), it is not a recall. I realize you did not call it a "recall", just thought I would provide the information for others. Hope this information helps. Good luck. :beerchug: Edited May 28, 2010 by bbf2530
Oblivion
Does anyone knows if the 2010 Ford Escapes may be experiencing similar issues with their transmissions?

ford fan
I had the reprogram done yesterday to our 2010 Milan. The car is only two months old with a little over 1,000 miles. We never noticed any hard shifts and can feel no difference since the service was done. It only took about one hour to have the reprogram done.

Is there reason to believe Canada is not included in the CSP bulletin?
crooster
I took my car into the dealer yesterday for its first oil change with the doc in hand. I was told it didn't apply to my car which is puzzling considering it was build Mar 3, 2010. Has anyone from Canada received a letter yet?

I received a letter from Ford specific to my VIN number, asking me to take my car to the dealer to apply the procedure. My car was built Feb. 2010. (I live in Montreal, which so far is still part of Canada).

Your signature line says you have the I4 and I'm assuming that is not the hybrid. Unless they previously reprogrammed your PCM, it seems like it should apply to your Fusion.
crooster
Nope - not the hybrid. I guess I will wait a bit longer and see if a letter shows up.
