FLLMustang
When will the Fusions start hitting dealers' lots? A salesman told me after Family Financing ends. Anyone heard anything along those lines? 291 I was told by a local salesman here in Fort Lauderdale that they expect to receive Fusions "any day now." I can only hope it is soon because I have already put down money to hold a Lexus IS 250 when they arrive. But I want to take a look at the Fusion before I take the plunge.

Arrival date now, he said, mid October. Anybody heard anything long these lines?
FLLMustang
I am now hearing from the sales guy at my dealership that the Fusion shipments have been delayed. He could not (or would not) site a reason. Ford appears to be waiting for several reasons. I too have heard rumors that the success of the Ford Family Plan has prompted the delay. Ford is still trying to clear out current inventory of the Taurus and '05 Five Hundreds before launching the Fusion. The reason is that the Fusion will be coming in at a higher price than these two vehicles after the Family Plan Pricing is factored in. This could undercut the sales of the Fusion and hurt the sales targets Ford has set.
Drake
The new Explorers are on the lot here but no Fusions yet.
FLLMustang
Dealers keep saying any day now, but from what I have been hearing, the Fusion won't be arriving until late October.
jlucas3
2 dealers in the Indianapolis area now have 1 car each in stock, so its starting to trickle out
BORG
I know the L/M dealers tell me the Milan and Zephyr will be be available in October. I imagine the Fusion should be here a little sooner, perhaps in the next 2 weeks we'll start seeing larger shipments. Of course, if all goes well, everyone will be sold as soon as they hit pavement
Drake
Dealer here says it has one via the Ford website, but I didn't see it anywhere.
SHOWOFF
Dealer here says it has one via the Ford website, but I didn't see it anywhere. 381 We have already sold one and have a black SEL on the lot still. The first one that arrived lasted less than 10 min. A customer saw it being unloaded off of the truck and bought it before it could even be PDI'd

Hope Ford hits it big with this one.
dccnati
I saw about 20 Fusions listed on various dealers' inventiories here in Cincinnati. Still haven't seen the big media blitz yet from Ford. I guess they are waiting to clear out the Tauruses with the Ford Family plan. I've already seen two other products using the Fusion name.....a razor and a vacuum cleaner.
jlucas3
Just got a call from my salesman at Paul Harvey Ford. He said they just got their 2nd Fusion. The first one they got last Friday and sold pretty much within hours of hitting the ground. I'm going to hopefully get to drive this one around tomorrow morning for a bit. He said the one they sold last week was the first Fusion sale in the Cincinnati region (we are in Indianapolis). Joe

I hope Ford puts the vehicles out in mass instead of releasing a paltry number like the Mustang GT's.

Jamers99
OK, my local dealer in Tampa FL just got one and they stuck it on the showroom floor. So much for test driving it.
FLLMustang
From Ford's Media Release "In September, car sales were up 3 percent as strong sales of the new Ford Mustang, Ford Five Hundred, and Mercury Montego offset declines in other car models. The first shipments of Ford's new mid-size cars (Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, and Lincoln Zephyr) have started to arrive at dealer showrooms and are available for delivery even though the official introduction month is November." What? Is Ford waiting for hurricane season to end?
gt5001
Since I started this thread, I thought I should report that I finally saw two Fusions today - an S 4cyl/manual & an SE V6. Both were pretty stripped down and, unfortunately, looked it. Will await a test drive or test ride before offering more.....
