coachk
Air conditioner isn't working properly. Replaced control head, but still didn't help. Basically can't control speed of airflow and it also won't work when in idle. Anyone else? Any ideas? Thanks!
urnews
Sounds like something that the dealer should fix.
Meelaan
urnews is right... why aren't you taking this issue in to a local dealer for warranty coverage?
CarlosJ
My Fusion's A/C goes up and down all the time. The dealer has told me that this is a "peculiarity" of the model rather than calling it a defect. They have said that since they cannot find anything wrong with the electrical system they cannot do anything to correct the problem. They said they would need instructions from Ford under a TSB to know where the problem resides.
Dyoct
coachk, does this happen after driving for some time or right away? CarlosJ, what do you mean by up and down? Do you have the auto climate control? If so, the fan speed will vary depending on the temp inside the cabin. Also, it's not uncommon to rest ones hands on the wheel and press the fan control buttons on the wheel.
coachk
Thanks for the suggestions. I did take it to my and everything is covered under warranty - that's when they added a new control head. Worked for about 1 day. Called them back and the service manager is a bit puzzled. They're ordering the "only other thing it could be"! I was just curious as to whether or not anyone else had any problems. Thanks!
