blufu Posted December 14, 2012 Share Posted December 14, 2012 I have a 2007 SEL. Too much pressure is blowing coolant out of resevoir. The transmission fluid is black, and it does not want to shift into fourth gear. I am getting a code of P1299 (overheating). FusionDiffusion Posted December 15, 2012 Share Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) Sounds like the transmission line that runs through the bottom of the radiator has rusted through. You'll have to replace the radiator and replace the coolant and transmission fluid. Since the fluid is contaminated with coolant don't drive the vehicle.
