geoblaz
Does anyone have the ESP Warenty plan and what do you think about it ???
thefoeyouknow
I do a ton of ESP work. In my opinion, everybody should get ESP. Most of the repairs under 100k, will be needed between 50 and 75k, and even though ESP may not cover everything, you'll be glad you had it.
jinx8402
If you do get one, search online. I know https://www.floodfordesp.com/ typically has some of the best prices around. You don't need to buy it from your dealer, as the ESP will be honored at any dealer. Flood Ford is where I bought my car and is a legit Ford Dealer. The reason your dealer will charge you more is to get people who don't do their research to agree to the price they give. Whereas Flood and a few others that sell it online basically put minimal markup over what Ford charges the dealer for the plan. It's a win-win for you and the online dealer you buy from.
green.cubic
Damn man I wish I had known this. My dealer charged 1450 for the plan I got and I see the same plan on that site for 1135. I took the 7 year 100k mile option with 100 deductible. Next time I guess.
Pers69
Looks like Florida residents aren't permitted to buy them online :-(
FusionNewbie
I'm debating getting one as well...I've been told if you get one, you might as well go for the 7 year 100,000 premium plan. Is it recommended you buy it as soon as you buy the car or anytime during the initial 3 year warranty?
FusionDiffusion
You can buy one anytime before the factory warranty expires from what I understand. My only concern is that the ESP doesn't cover things that can commonly go wrong on these cars such as a broken door handle, throttle body, or water leaks. On the FloodFordESP site, the price is $100 cheaper if purchased in the first year, don't know if it's the same on other sites.

Ford charges $100 more after the first 12 months so dealer prices should all reflect that.
geoblaz
Thanks Everyone When I called the 800 # I was told under 1 year and 12K miles goets a 10% discount. I left the info at work but I think I was told the premium 7 yr 125 k was about $2400.00 with100.00 deductible,on the Flood site it's 1600.00 -- thats a big difference I will look at info at work tommorow. Also how does aftermarket accessories like non ford remote start and Katskin leather and heated seats affected?

Hi geoblaz. :D Aftermarket accessories such as those you mentioned are not covered under the Ford ESP Plan. Genuine Ford Accessories would be covered. Good luck. :beerchug:
SteveV
I bought one from Flood Ford for my last vehicle (F150) with no issues with the online purchase. I never used it though (no problems with the truck) and I also traded my truck in before the ESP expired, so I was able to get a partial refund. Yes, it is cheapest to buy within the first year of ownership. I bought mine the day before the factory warranty expired on my truck.
akirby
It's an extra $100 after 12 months.
