jmcx24ever
Okay guys - I am new to this forum and I am pulling my hair out right now. I have a 2012 Ford Fusion SE that I am in the midst of a 3 year lease from Fette Ford in Clifton, New Jersey. They gave me 2 keys that have the key integrated or protruding out of the key pad. I lost one of the keys! I have torn my house apart and I cannot find it. I attached a picture of the other key that I haven't lost yet! What are my options? Do I have to go get ripped off by the dealer to replace it? Is there any less expensive alternative in this situation? Please e-mail me directly at jcalabrese516@me.com if you have an answer. Any help that anyone can provide me would be immensely appreciated!
akirby
You can buy a key anywhere and have it cut anywhere just like a regular key. If you only have the one working key you'll have to pay the dealer to program it to the car but that shouldn't be more than $60 or so.
SinatraFusion
I think you can actually order a key now with your VIN number and get them to mail you a new one, or they'll charge you to replace it when you turn the car back in (I'm just guessing, I've never leased a car but I've leased other things). I think an aftermarket one would probably not pass...
SinatraFusion
If you're not turning it in right now though, looks like you can get one at Amazon for $30. http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Fusion-Button-Keyless-Programming/dp/B00BTSHQ54 Then get it cut...it might end up being more expensive.

Not really, you need to have two working keys to be able to program additional keys. The only options are either the dealer, or a locksmith, (the cheaper option), with the ability to program the key for you. There is not a third option unfortunately.
