Jim126
Hi and good day to all... Our Fusion is a 2010 Sport, with AWD, and we love it! Currently, we are unable to connect a cell phone to the car's sync system, and find it impossible to activate the system's phone button on the car's dashboard. The car's battery is O.K. We are told that dealer access needs to be made inside the dash board to access a specific module to correct the problem. Has anyone had the problem of not being able to have the phone button the car's dash not responding to touch? Thanks for your comments. Again, not sure what the exact issue may be (Internet diagnosis is spotty at best). However, is your car still within the 3 year/36,000 mile New Car Bumper to Bumper Warranty? If yes, bring it in for service. Hopefully another member may be able to guide you with more advice. Keep us updated and good luck.
akirby
I don't think the phone button works unless the phone is paired. Did you follow the owner's manual instructions for pairing a phone?
Jim126
Hi, and thanks for your coments. We are completely unable to pair our cell phone to our car's Sync system. The problem we have is that when we press the phone button on our car's Sync control panel, located on the car's dashboard, the car's Sync system does not respond to let us continue. Thanks again for your thoughts.
akirby
Try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few minutes to reset everything. Are all of the other steering wheel controls working normally?
Jim126
Hi, and thanks your help, regarding connecting my phone to our 2010 Ford Fusion Sync System. It turns out that an update from Ford was required for our Sync System, which as of now has been completed. As of now, our Sync System appears to be working well, abd is fully operational. Thanks to all. Jim & Eileen
