adamk
I've searched but haven't found an answer that fits my situation. I am looking for a location to tap the remote turn on wire for aftermarket amps in a 2012 Fusion S. I know someone is gonna suggest a LOC but here's what I'm working with. I have 2 alpine amps...a 4 channel and a mono. The 4 channel has speaker/high level inputs so no LOC is needed for that amp. It has has am extra 2 channel low level/RCA out put specifically for sending to a separate subwoofer amp. All I am in need of is where to tap the remote wires for the amps. I have read that the powered antenna wire could work but also heard that no power is sent to the antenna when the input is changed from AM/FM(AUX, CD, SAT, etc) Thanks, Adam

Tyler Burgert
Power antenna is constant. You may not need it, but what I did might help. I bought a LOC that you tie into a constant 12V and also tie into the speaker signal. It has a remote wire on it you can splice your own to. Anytime the LOC detects audio signal it turns the remote power on. When audio signal is lost after a few minutes it shuts off remote power.
