Glad I found this. Am on second set of wheels and they are now peeling too. Talked to dealership and they took pictures. Haven't heard back from them yet. But from the looks of this they will not be replaced yet. I can't believe this has been a problem for so long and they knowingly sold these problem wheels.

UPDATE

Contacted dealer on 7/15/15 They said they stopped replacing the wheels a couple months prior. Ford is supposed to be sending out a letter on or around 8/10/15 laying out the fix for this issue. No details as to what that is. All I know is that I am on my second full set and not happy because they are peeling again.

I work at a dealership and I just found out that Ford has issued a recall on the 18 inch black spoked wheels. You get to choose between two styles. 20 spoke or 5 spoke. I've already put a kit on order for minw. I just had them replaced under warranty a few months back. These new wheels have a different appearance I belilive.

I called my local dealer they have said the same thing 20 or 5 spoke. They said they could give a printout of the new wheels in I stop in. They don't have any at the dealership right now.

I found these 2016 listings online. These MIGHT be the new wheels in color:

I'm just glad I'm going to be able to get black ones again--hopefully they have permanently fixed the problem! I have a pearl white Fusion with the black wheels, and I don't like how the aluminum colored ones look with pearl white. I was going to raise a big stink if they didn't replace with black!

Darkone, I just ordered the 5 spoke as well. I'm glad Ford is doing something but wasn't very impressed that they couldn't show me a picture of what they look like in reality. All I got to see what a b/w printout and a pic from their parts ordering screen which shows the shape but not the finished colour/gloss etc.

I'm quite fond of the ones that are getting replaced but hey, the 5-spoke look sexy and I figured might as well take a chance.

Just got my new set last week. (20 spoke) this is my 2nd replacement set. They look identical to the old 20 spoke in physical form but they are only a glossy black instead of having the chrome iridescent like coat the old ones had that of course was peeling off. My husband says it looks like a powder coat. Since we powder coat or racecar frames and it seems to hold up well on there I'm hoping it will on the wheels too. They look good IMO. Just wish we didn't have to have them replaced in the first place, but hopefully that's all over with :)

My wife's '14 Fusion has the black alloy wheels. I haven't noticed any chipping on them, but she ran off the road the other day after a storm trying to avoid a large branch that had fallen. Her passenger side ended up in a rut off the road and as a result she needs 2 new wheels. The dealership tried ordering new wheels but couldn't (I guess because of the recalls) and they said it may take a few months to get them in. I really find this hard to believe if they're recalling the damn wheels anyway there must be a pile of them somewhere, right? She's had a rental now for over a week (this dealership doesn't do loaners but wtf, if they're holding her car hostage for a few months it's the least they could do?)

:banghead:

For those that have gotten the 2 alternative replacements, where they covered under warranty or did you have to pay for them?
