JoeyToronto
Ford revealed the new 2017 Lincoln MKZ refresh..I know this is the Fusion forum but ...https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/photos/lincoln-unveils-2017-mkz-la-auto-show-los-photo-183704701--finance.html And the 2017 Escape...Which is not good, the grille looks like the new Edge and the new tail lights are ugly...but all LED lights. Wow, they're caught up with 2015 finally. http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2015/11/17/ford-escape-start-stop-2017/75912144/ Edited November 19, 2015 by JoeyToronto
akirby
The new Edge like grill is the best part of the new Escape (IMO). And the MKZ is simply gorgeous now with upgraded materials and technology and features to match. And a 400 HP 2.7L EB V6. That bodes well for a Fusion ST.

The MKZ grille looks much a like the Bently.
andyross
I like the current MKZ's split-wing grill. The picture is a bit small, but my first impression is that it looked like a Buick. Any rear pictures to see if it still has the thin line taillights? The article said the 400hp engine is 3.0L, not 2.7L. The 2017 MKZ will get a new 3.0 liter turbo-charged engine Lincoln says will deliver 400 horsepower through an all-wheel drive system.

The rear end styling is unchanged. http://www.lincoln.com/2017-mkz/ You're correct WRT the 3.0 in the Lincoln. It's an enlarged version of the 2.7EB
akirby
Yep 3.0L. Typo.
akirby
And it doesn't look like a Buick. More Jag or Bentley.
andyross
I misread the grill. That tiny picture from the original link made it hard to see. The Lincoln site pictures are much better. That said, I still think the split-wing looks better to me and was distinctive. The new one looks too 'blunt' and more generic. Maybe they need it to meet Euro-pedestrian crash rules?
Waʊnd Sterling
Nice Grille, nice proportions. Wheels need a re-think though. Mustang FR500-style will make a Bimmer owner start talking out loud to themselves.
Fusionpursuit
hope the rear even it is unchanged is no longer pixelated
Fusionpursuit
Really would be a great deal if the Fusion ST comes out and it has this same powertrain instead of the 2.7L mentioned
akirby
3.0 should be Lincoln exclusive. Then again I think they said the same thing about the 2.3L.....
Fusionpursuit
I looked at new updates on this MKZ and build guide. The pricing gets lost a bit with the mix of options. they never made the rear LED bars solid, which looks very outdated now. If the Fusion 2017 refresh has solid bars and a tesla like shape in the rear which looks sharp, yet the new 2017 MKZ did not refresh the rear lighting.... Maybe we should wait a year or so to maybe see if they update it a little? the front is nice and one of the wheel options looks very nice, the black pocket one, but cannot have it if you get the sport tuned package, the pinwheel is the sport tuned MKZ wheel
