2006 Fusion Electrical Problem

I have an intermittent problem with my 2006 For Fusion. At times, when I first start the car, the high beam dash indicator light is on the check oil light is on and the Emergency brake light is on and I cannot put it into gear. When these lights go out which can take 30 seconds or 10 minutes, the park solenoid works. Sometimes after I get it into gear, the 3 lights come on immediately before I actually start moving therefore my door locks do not automatically lock like they should but while driving, when those indicator lights go of the doors WILL lock. Also, while driving the same sequence of lights come on and my turn signal indicators do not work although the actual lights do. The problem is becoming more frequent but at times an entire day can go by with no problems. Where to I begin to investigate this issue. Thanks, jim

My '07 just started doing similar things. Same dash lights are coming on, have not had issues with transmission shifting and doors not locks though. I joined this site to find possible solutions. Did you guys have any luck figuring this out?

Thanks for the battery suggestion. Certainly worth a try. I've also learned that this could be an instrument panel issue, which makes since because that is the only common place these 3 spearate systems send signals. The different systems communicating with the cluster could be a programming or circuit board that needs recalibrated or replaced. Called and talked to 2 separate instrument repair companies, one in Richmond, VA and one in Greer, SC. Looks like a cost between $ 300. - $325.00.

Less than $100 on eBay but then you need to add some dealer programming cost on top.

I had headlight and blink issues I replace light bulbs and sockets and got new battery, after all that come to find out the 2006 body style across all variants ford put out has issues with the sjb card where it will fail unexpectedly. 75 dollars later and about 15 minutes of work installing a new one from a salvage yard fixed the issue without need of programmer
