Beethoven
Loaded last week the 210 bhp map on the 2015 mondeo (European fusion). 210bhp and 450 nm of torque. This early morning, I did a test drive to check performance: I must say, I am impressed Accelleration went smooth and top speed upto 150 mph, and that for a 2.0 turbo-diesel engine. Quite impressive, ,if you ask me

drolds1
I'm not only impressed with the top speed but also that you have a place where you can hit those speeds. I guess your "map" or programmer removed the factory speed limiter or do Mondeos have no limiter in Europe? In the U.S., the Fusion has a top speed limiter from the factory. I'm not sure what it is. The 2017 Fusion Sport (2.7L V6, 325hp) is electronically limited to 131 mph. Four-cylinder models have lower limits; maybe 112mph but I'm not sure about that. The OE tires and other factors dictate top speeds. What kind of tires do you have? Are they rated for these speeds?
Beethoven
I did the test on a straight and flat highway, where there is no traffic in the early morning. Speed limit is 75 mph, but there is nothing or no one (police) to check at that time. Most of the cars(any brand) in Europe/Belgium have no speed limiter. My 19" summer tires are rated for these speeds, don't worry What I wonder about is why such big and strong cars are still being sold, if the speed is electronically limited? WWWPerfA_ZN0W
I'd make a wisecrack about density of traffic and simultaneous deterioration of driver skills, but I think andy's got it right
