Bad fuel pressure sensor

Good day,

I have a check engine light on. Went to the local Ford dealer & it was diagnosed as a bad fuel pressure sensor. Seems the sensor is in the tank. Quoted CAD$700. Is this price realistic?

Also, If I don't replace the sensor now, are there any adverse problems other than staring at the check engine light such as fuel econ etc?

Thank you,

HD
