hdlogistics
Good day, I have a check engine light on. Went to the local Ford dealer & it was diagnosed as a bad fuel pressure sensor. Seems the sensor is in the tank. Quoted CAD$700. Is this price realistic? Also, If I don't replace the sensor now, are there any adverse problems other than staring at the check engine light such as fuel econ etc? Thank you, HD 2010 Ford Fusion SEL 2.5L Edited January 8, 2015 by hdlogistics
spanksjw
If I'm not mistaken you have drop the tank to get to it. So your paying more labor than parts at the dealer. I would like to say you might eventually have no start issues. Right now throwing fault codes I'm sure.
akirby
If it's really just the sensor it won't hurt to keep driving it. The only way to know if that's a fair price is to call other dealers/shops and get a quote.
