2014FordFusion
2014 Ford Fusion SEEngine Type: 1.5L L4 DOHC 16VDriveline: FWDMileage: 29,565 Miles Went to start the car (11pm at night 40°F) and it started but none of lights came on for any of the dash panels including the little SYNC screen (Not MyTouch) except for the service engine and the stability control light. Turned off the engine and opened and shut the door and tried again. Same thing happened and I tried the radio on/off and washer/wipers and nothing worked. While doing the WTF in my mind all of the dash came on and the two lights stayed on and everything was working. I would say around two minutes running time. I shut the car off and open/closed door and started it again and everything was normal except now just the service engine light was still on but the stability light was off. I took a quick look through the manual and it said engine needs serviced from the lamp. I was at work so didn't have a choice other than to drive home about 20 miles. I wasn't in limp mode so everything went fine. Got just about home and the service engine light went off. I decided to do a vehicle health report because I knew I was coming up on time to service it. When the report finished and I got the email for the car it said it was "Restraints & Driver Assistance Status: Uncertain" and "Checks, Fluids & Filters Status: Uncertain". All of the other items in the report responded fine. I tried again in the morning and a couple times since then and am getting the same results. I checked all the fluid levels that are available to me and they were fine. I have problems with SYNC voice stuff working or even hearing me too. But that has always been a PITA. Any thoughts on what is going on?
akirby
Sounds like a flaky module but I don't know which one or how to troubleshoot it. You probably need a Ford mechanic to diagnose it.
