TheBarnetts
So, like the title says, the car tries meekly to start, but won't. Got it jumped to get home. Once home, I hooked it to a digital charger and it said it's 100%. Tried to start again, turns over weakly and will not start. No indication that there was an impending problem before this; started just fine before with no issues. Any advice or known issues are welcome. Thanks! WWWPerfA_ZN0W
So you load tested the battery with a digital tester? It cranks slowly? If the battery is indeed charged (is it OEM or aftermarket/new), then it's probably not the battery OR alternator. The starter may not be working properly. That's what I'd look into.

The symptom you describe is often exhibited by a battery that has a bad/weak cell that drops voltage too much under load. Measure voltage when cranking - if it drops below spec, replace the battery. With a bad cell, the charger will shut off (call it 100 %) because the rest of the cells are fully charged.

Thanks for the response and I will update.
