Creativename00
I was having popping noises from the front when stopping and accelerating, so I had all 4 lower control arms on the front replaced since you could wiggle them by hand. Now there's a noise and feeling from the drivers front that sounds like something is loose when going over small bumps slowly like going down a gravel driveway or bumpy parking lot. I've gone over nearly all the bolts and made sure things were tight and don't move, as well as taken it back to the shop that installed the arms. They said they didn't find anything, same as another shop as well. I can't replicate the sound with just lifting or pushing down. It doesn't seem to be affected by temperature in the ways other posts say. I'd rather not just throw parts at this after spending so much for the control arms, so if anyone has experienced this or has ideas, it would be helpful.
Waldo
Have you carefully checked the stabilizer bar links? Grab the link and try to move it around in different directions. Often the ball joints in them will wear out and be loose, even if the bolts are all tight.
WKelley
This would be exactly where I looked, they can be quite noisy when going bad.
Creativename00
I can't seem to get the links to move, outside of rotating them, but that seems completely normal for them. I ordered some since they're cheap, so I'll see. I noticed that the torque strut is worn out and I can move that by hand. I'm not sure if that would cause this noise or not though
Creativename00
Well I've replaced the links, torque strut, and the upper a arms now. It's still making the same noise that sounds almost like it's coming from directly in front of me
