Early on for 2010 it appears that the SPORT model was available in the Atlantis Green color. Now its only available in Black, Red, Silver and Blue. What happened to the green, anyone know? If any were sold, it could be a rare bird but I myself might have liked one.

P.S. edited

I smell a "photoshopped" internet photo! LOOK at the reflection on the driver's side of each car, look at the "tree line" etc in the reflection. It's the very same car, just in two different colors???

Atlantis Green was added to Sport as a Job #2 change. You should be able to get one now. :)

Thanks but I would get the Black anyway. That green is sooo dark, it appears black mostly anyway. I saw one on a dealers lot and it was unappealing to me because it was just too too dark to be called green. It comes off as black so I will simply order black and besides, the black has some great metallic in it too.

I agree. I looked at an Atlantis Green Sport on a dealer lot, and had to check the window sticker to make sure I wasn't looking at the Tuxedo Black. The black actually has a lot of green in the metalflake (along with red and blue) that really pops in the sun. I'm surprised Ford didn't make the Atlantis Green a little lighter.

Exactly! It's like having two different tones of Black available. The Tuxedo Black looks so much better in my opinion. This is a Ford joke to honor Henry Ford!

You want Black?

We'll give you Tuxedo Black!

After looking at the above samples, the Atlantis Green looks much better.

I just got the atlantis green. I wanted silver but they couldn't one anytime soon. Personally I like the green (which is basically black) more than the tuxedo black. Its a little bit lighter and for lack of a better term it has more 'depth' if that makes any sense. The tuxedo black is just plain black whereas the green you have to look at and wander around the car and really think "what color is that"? One things for sure, no internet picture really helps you understand the color, online it looks way more green than it is. You'd never guess it really was...

aboston,

Then you must have been looking at the Tuxedo Black at night or on a pretty overcast day because the Tux Black reallly pops and looks like a metallic charcoal grey in the light but does look straight black in the shade or dark. I saw both colors together (Atlantis green and Tuxedo Black) and my opinion is that the Tux Black has better metallic characteristics and is definitely my first choice. I'm waiting to see the new Candy Red on the Fusion because I might like red but don't really care for the current sangria red. Candy Red should be out on the road very soon by new years or the first few weeks of January. I myself can't order my new Fusion till mid February so hopefully I will get the chance to see the candy red in person before I have to really decide. Anyway, I really love the Tuxedo Black and it makes the car look like a classy expensive import IMO.

Dealer had an Atlantis Green parked next to Tuxedo Black. If the black Fusion was not there, I would have bet that the green was black. Bought the Atlantis Green because it was $991 less than the same car in black at another dealer. Looks great / different.

Granted, it is different and unique and I myself would consider it had the Tuxedo Black not been available or the black just been a straight non metallic black. I would have been much more excited about the green had it been a few shades lighter so it looked dark green instead of appearing black. For $991 difference, I can agree with your choice.

I wouldn't mind one in Dark Amethyst. I just painted my mom's Grand Marquis. She has a 1995 that needed a little body work and a whole lot of paint. It was weather beaten, but the car is still in pretty good shape. The interior is gray leather with a minor tear in the back seat that you have to look for to find, but otherwise pristine, a good cleaning of the carpet and it would look like new. She needed a fender, some body work where some idiot sideswiped it in a parking lot, and the usual dings and dents from car doors. It was a black car, so going to Dark Amethyst was a breeze. Since it was a Ford paint code, repairs will be easy to match. This is also a hard color to see online, in real life though, it is dark, nearly black under most lights, but has a flip flop to it under bright light, with a slight purple tone.
