Pyzik
Like all of you here, I love customizing my car. I have been thinking of dipping my rims. Up until this morning I only knew of flat black, gray, blue and orange Plasti Dip. Well, I found out there is a gold metalizer that I think will look cool on my tan car. And if not, I can just peel it off!! What do you think?? So here is a quick photo-chop I did to see what the black would look like. The wife says it's "ghetto", haha. I am not sure how to photoshop the gold/bronze look to the rims... [8] ETA: Forgot to add, here is what the gold metalizer will sorta look like. Though, I don't think I would black them out first.
Blueblood
We had an old mercury topaz that had rubber coated wheels. The brake caliper started dragging on my wife and got hot enought to catch the wheel on fire. Luckily a bypasser put it out for her. Aside from that I'm always looking to lose weight. Powder coat maybe ? It would look good with gold wheels though.
umm_me
Plastidip is a good temporary / trial type material... for like 10 bucks you can see if you like how your wheels will look that color. If you dont like it.... remove it. If you do like it... remove it soon and do it right.
Pyzik
Thanks for the heads up. Pretty much ditching the spraying the rims idea. It's really the color, like I said, that I don't like anyway. Not the rims.
