Ssoto03
I should have posted this earlier. I went by the dealer a few months ago and we figured out a workaround for turning off Auto mode, maybe you have already discovered this. If you press the MAX AC button, it will turn off the AUTO indicator light and illuminate the MAX AC, AC, and RECIRC indicators. You can then press the Max AC button again, as well as the AC and RECIRC buttons to turn out these same indicator lights. Also, when you press the MAX AC button the first time it will automatically drive the temp to LO, so you will have to manually bump it back up again. Klugey but it works. Anyone find a better solution.

Frank F
Just read this whole thread. It truly is funny. Some are assuming that since the AC LED is displayed on the climate control buttons, the AC compressor clutch is always engaged. And some of these people have apparently been driving since before WW II. Funny.Go to WOT; yep, AC LED still displaying. Set temperature to maximum, yep, AC LED still displaying. Low pressure switch deactivates AC compressor clutch, yep, AC LED still displaying. But now my question: will automatic mode use recycled air when advantageous, or does it always pull from outside?
akirby
Auto only uses recirculate in Max A/C mode.
