On my 2010 Fusion that I no longer own:

Band new 2nd day of ownership the car kept stalling on right turns.

The power steering kept going out. After three times in the shop, ford decided to replace the computer and the steering rack. There were no codes and Ford Engineer said to replace both.

The fuel filler neck broke and had to be replaced.

Rubber seal on the back edge of the rear window kept coming off.

Button on the emergency brake ejected and the entire arm had to be replaced.

Transmission replaced at 20K miles.

I gave the car away.

Since then I've bought a '13 FFH and a '13 MKZh.

2006 Fusion SEL 3.0. 7 yrs, 65K miles. Not a single warranty repair or dealer visit. The hvac blower started making a noise - took it out and blew out some black particles and it was fine after that. Replaced the driver's door handle in year 6 ($60, 15 minutes).

2012 Fusion Sport with approx 13K miles - There is some sort of 'buzzing' coming from under the hood, right around 2Krpm. I'll be taking it to the dealer in the next couple of weeks for that. In addition, one of the door combo pads doesn't light up as brightly as the other ones (just happened a few days ago). Those are the only two items on my list.

I've stayed on top of my maintenance and fortunately the ONLY thing I had to go to the stealership for was a very slight braking vibration around 32k miles. They remedied the issue by resurfacing the front rotors. I argued for new ones, but Ford policy states that they are supposed to machine them down until it drops under a certain thickness before replacing. I am up to 51k now with no issues to date.

Back in January I took my 2012 Sport to the dealer to get the "Check Rear Park Aid" error looked at. This is that they found:

FORD OBD ERROR CODE C1706 - LEFT REAR CENTER SENSOR CIRCUIT FAILURE.

VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO SENSORS BAD-OPEN AT SPLICE 423 BEHIND REAR BUMPER REPAIRED WIRING, RETEST, OK

$297.50 in labor. I'm into my extended warranty now and paid the $100 deductible. No more issues.

Now my car is back in the dealer getting this issue fixed:

Initially the dealer told me that Ford wouldn't authorize the repair. To make a long story short, I escalated the issue to the Ford Service Facebook page where a Regional Customer Service Manager contacted me, had me go back to the dealer for an estimate (they have a body shop there), agreed to pay for the repair minus $100 and give me a free rental car. I hope to have my car back by tomorrow or Saturday.
