carrc24
Does anyone have a silver fusion with a blacked out grille and/or rims etc.? I think it'd look sick, but haven't been able to find many photos online. I prefer gloss, but if you have plastidip or vinyl i'd love to see it to! Deciding between buying a black one and blacking it out or going with the silver and doing the same.
PublicHair
I think it'd look stupid. My work truck has a black bumper/grille and that's what I think when I see cars other than black with black grilles - Looks cheap and stupid. (In the case of my work truck; 5,000 Ram 2500 trucks 2012-2013 costs $1,800 for the "chrome" bumper/grille/wheels. So $1,800 x 5,200 = $9.3 million bucks..so I can see why they thought black was better than a $9.3 million dollar added cost) But that's all subjective to personal taste. I personally think a color matched grille would look better. But at least chrome fits in best with silver vs a dark red or a black (too much bling bling for me on those color cars) Here's my car as it sits.
lastnv
I have silver as well. Looks naked without the spoiler! Ive seena couple of silver+blacked out and I dont really like how it looks. The plastidip grille looks cheap and awkward on silver. Black accents are okay though. I dont like black rims because it looks like you're running on 4 spare wheels.Plus it makes your tires look dirty. The best look for our Fusions is a "clean" look. Especially silver. Edit: blacked out black looks infinitely better. Edited October 15, 2013 by lastnv

nickstewartroc
My daughter's friend has a Civic with blacked out wheels and it looks terrible. What color is the Civic? I have a Flame Blue Metallic Focus and the blacked out wheels like great on it!

It's silver like the Fusion which is why I posted about it. Black wheels on a blue car would look much better.
nickstewartroc
Ahh ok, and yeah, I have to agree, most of the times silver with blacked out anything looks odd. Sometimes you can pull it off, but most of the time looks bad
jimd1050
I have silver as well... looks naked without the spoiler! I just bought my 2012 SEL in Ingot Silver... I loved it the way it was but I hadn't seen one with a spoiler. My first day on the highway headed to work, a dark gray one passed me with the spoiler on it. I ordered a spoiler that night! You are absolutely correct about it looking naked without it...

teport
I have a Silver Sport. I love the look of my darker chrome grill. I really would mind going a little darker. plasidip look cheap.(because it is). I heard that adding tint to you grill/chrome pieces work. I assume that will make it look similar to the sport grills. Painted gloss grills don's look to bad, ford does that on some of there other vehicles already. Publichair- love the car. I am more of a spoiler guy so it seems to be missing that but I am just used to mine I guess. how dark is your tint and where did you get those clear marker light covers?

BlackBetty
Silver sport over here as well with the darker grille. I think the contrast of dark parts look good on silver. I'll be keeping my grille the way it is but I'm considering gloss black wheels with a chrome lip, as well as tinting the tails
