Scooterst1
The traction control can easly be shut off, with the button on the dash, however the Stabiltiy control is still on, From what I understand reading the owners manual this is the way it's suppose to work. I get into a corner and the brakes turn on and the Electonic Stabitlty light flashes. I bet there is a thread already touching on this topic, I did a search and couldn't find any information about it. Any info would be great. Thanks guys. FIrst post but I have been reading this forum for some time now.
akirby
That appears to be correct. Not sure why they call it a Stability Control off switch if it only turns off Traction Control.

nickstewartroc
Is there a way to turn it off? Not sure if it is similar to what it is on a Focus, but I know on them, the easiest way is to pull the fuse -Nick

FusionDiffusion
No, you can't turn it off without pulling the fuse. I've spent a lot of time looking into it. If you were a really talented programmer/hacker you might be able to go in and modify the code in the ABS module to disable it, but that would probably take weeks or months of work. I know of one case with a Taurus SHO where the guy changed the as-built data and reflashed the ABS module with the performance package software (which allows the ESC to be disabled). But the Fusion is a different car, so the Taurus programming won't work. I think the best way around it would be to install a switch to cut power to the ABS module. But there is no way to disable the ESC without loosing ABS.
Scooterst1
Cool thanks a lot for the info guys. I will look into a switch to temporarily disable the ABS.
