just wanted to clarify some things on the exhaust for the 2010 3.5L FWD Sport, I would like to know what exact Borla and Magna Flow exhaust part number would fit. Also what do you have on youre car and how is the overall sound and ride sound quality. Also what springs do you recommend Eibach or Steeda, wich give you more of an overall drop looking to upgrade my stock 2010 Sport, what rims look good on the tire what size would give the best ride quality thinking of putting some 19" on it. -Thanks Edited by _batres408

batres408,

The Magna Flow is #16675 and the Borla should be 140184. I have Borla on my '02 Thunderbird and the sound is perfect for that car. I'll be going with the Magna Flow system for the Fusion simply for the cost factor.

I too am in the process of lowering my Sport, but since it is AWD I'm limited on the springs I can use as neither Steeda or Eibach make them.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

yes I know what you mean the price difference between the exhaust is a fair amount, but I feel like the magna flows might be a little to loud but I need to keep looking at videos on it, also need to keep researching and see what springs give it an overall better stance and ride quality. Thinking of putting some HID's as well not sure about to whole retro fit, might just see what some shops have around the area.

I hear that the muffler delete is enough for the Fusion. Sounds awesome. But that’s with the 3.0

Hey man how was the whole retro fit process on the fusion for you? was it difficult at all? i would really like to improve the lighting quality for the car.

About 6 hours. That was going slow and doing other things. If you really went at it..about three hours total. Very easy upgrade. Just need a dremel to cut the back of the housing, a screw driver to remove three screws (to swap projectors), and plastic weld to seal the back of the housing on.

Results are supurb.

i have the muffler delete on my 2010 sport awd. i think it sounds great, and only cost me about 100 bucks with new 2.5in piping from the Y pipe to the tips, pluss the 4in borla double wall tips and resonator delete. also i recommend the steeda springs. i have had them on my car for about a year and i dont have any complaints. ride quality is great and the drop is even on the front and the back.

I took my car into a local exhaust shop. Guy made a custom cat-back exhaust for me using 2.5-inch stainless steel pipe, deleted both resonators, and used Magnaflow Mufflers. Cost was much lower than existing kits from Magnaflow or Borla. In addition, since this was a custom fabricated job, all pipe work was welded as opposed to pressure bolt connections on available kits online. I recommend this route over purchasing an online kit.

As for lowering springs, I recommend the Tein H-Tech or Tein S-Tech (both available for V6 models). S-Tech's have a 2.1" front drop and 1.6" rear. H-Tech's have a 1.5" front drop and 1.0" rear. Fusions tend to sit a bit rear heavy so the extra drop in the front provided by these springs allow for an even overall drop. Both springs are great, just a matter of preference on amount you would like the car dropped.
