Oil pressure sending unit location and access questions.

My nephew says his oil light comes on and goes off at random times, 2006 V6. He recently had an oil and filter change and it had no effect on the light. The car runs well. I feel the oil pressure sending unit needs to be replaced. He can handle simple easy tasks and yes I can help out. We just want to know where it is and how hard it is to change. Soooooo, where is it and how hard is it to change? The part is only $17 for the Motorcraft brand... We figured we would try the simple things first.

Thanks.
