FusionSVT Posted February 2, 2014 Share Posted February 2, 2014 Hello, I've been having a problem with my fusion for the past week. About a week ago, I started my car in the morning and a message appeared in the info center saying "remove obejects near pass seat" i checked my pass seat and there was nothing on top of it. I checked under the seat to see if maybe something was blocking but no. The light appears everyime I turn on my car and it will only stay off if someone heavier than 150lbs is seating on it. I know this because my girlfriend is about 120lbs and the message still appears. I've been checking other threads similar to this but I havent found a good answer. Does anyone know whats going on? Can it be fixed? Oh by the way my car's warranty is already vioded so, I'm going to fix it myself it I can. FusionDiffusion Posted February 13, 2014 Share Posted February 13, 2014 If there is absolutely nothing touching the seat or on top of it and you still have the message, the occupant classification system (OCS) needs to be retrained so it learns what an empty seat is like.
