andyross
I've been running into an issue where if I drive for awhile in a lane with a curb on the left (probably a standard 4-6" square edge, sometimes with grass in a median), I get a sensor blocked error, and the left BLIS light stays on. Even if I move to another lane, and many cars pass or whatever, it doesn't seem to reset itself like the manual says it should. The only way to clear it is to shut down the car and start up again. This hasn't happened on the right, and the right BLIS continues to work even if the left is stuck. Is this yet another quirk of modern 'safety' technology I have to put up with? (BTW, the rear park aid issue I mentioned in another post has been working properly since then.)
FusionDiffusion
They are separate modules so they can fail independently. If you are under warranty I would take it to the dealer. Maybe yours is aimed too far down or something. Did you make sure the rear fenders are clean and clear (sensor is behind the bumper cover on the sides)? I only had the sensor blocked error once when it got covered with a layer of ice, but that cleared itself in about five minutes. I don't think a curb will set mine off, but if there is a guard rail or a K-rail the light will come on (but it doesn't say sensor blocked).
BlackBetty
I had a blocked sensor code whenever would drive next to things like a row a trees or gaurd rail etc. Took it into Ford and got a reflash, never happened again.
Fusionpursuit
My car's blind spot mirrors will go off and stay solid when I have gotten too close to objects, I think its a warning telling me to be more careful going up ramps or around walls in parking garages, then it turns off after 10 seconds
