Rob Curtin
There's a software update out for that: http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/9051-ssm-chimes-reprogram/?hl=chime&do=findComment&comment=84651 Thanks for the heads up! Looking through that thread and doing some Google searching, it looks like upgrading the IDS version in the Audio Control Module is something that would need to be done at the dealership, right? It's not like a SYNC upgrade where I can put the info on a flash drive?

bobe63.re
If you just want to let the heat out before you close the doors you could if car is so equipped use the key fob to lower all the windows before getting into the car. Check the vehicle settings for auto windows and enable thèn just use fob to unlock and press unlock a second time and hold all windows will fully lower. Same can be done to close windows using the lock button.
Thomas R
This "feature" is just poorly thought out. Give the human a display message of what the stupid chime is supposed to be telling you! Don't these engineers get training in Human Factors anymore? Ridiculous! Probably implemented by some programmer without any quality control checks.
drolds1
Engineers have nothing to do with it. The chimes are required by federal regulations.
