MOHPro
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3. After the initial pairing of my phone with SYNC for the first time, my phone would automatically pair with SYNC when I got in my car. Recently, I updated my phone. After performing the update on my phone, my phone does not automatically pair with SYNC when I get in my car like it used to (even when I have Bluetooth mode enabled on my phone before I get into my car)Now, every time I want to use SYNC, after getting in my car I have to turn on bluetooth on my phone, open up the Bluetooth settings on my.phone, and once my phone locates SYNC, I have to manually pair it with SYNC. This is annoying and frustrating since I have to do this every time want to use SYNC features, where before I did the update on my phone, I could.keep my phone in my pocket the whole time since.it automatically paired with SYNC. Any help is greatly appreciated.
akirby
Sounds like you don't have bluetooth permanently enabled on the phone. Check the phone settings.

andyross
You may want to try un-pairing, then re-pairing, to see if that helps. Also, you can try hitting the Phone button on the steering wheel or dash, as that causes it to search for a phone if it hasn't paired yet. I've had my own phone (an ancient flip phone) occasionally drop sync, and doing that reconnects it.
montematt
I believe android phones have a setting Called pair/connect automatically I would pull up your car in your bluetooth settings and see if connect automatically is enabled. It may have been disabled with the update. Sometimes bluetooth with create multiple entries for the same device.
RybSE
I have a Galaxy S4. When I got the replacement (after breaking the screen) I deleted the existing phone sync (2014 SE) and redid the sync with the new phone. Phone and car are automatically synced now whenever I'm in the car.
MOHPro
It works now. Deleted my phone from the sync menu on the car display then added it again.
