EcoEvan
I'm a new owner with less than 3000 miles on a 1.5L EcoBoost. Hello! Two things I want to ask the forum: 1) The brakes seem hyper-sensitive. When I brake they tend to over-react, grab, and cause everyone to lurch forward. If I really focus and soft touch them, they behave OK, but an ordinary push really causes over-grab... is it possibly normal break-in behavior, or not? 2) I am experiencing about a one second lag when excelerating. I don't know if this is turbo lag, or some other issue. Can it be corrected? It's potentially dangerous when trying to make a move into moving traffic. I commit to enter the stream of moving cars and there's no power, abut then a rush of acceleration when the motor finally responds! Before I go into the dealer I wanted to hear your input first. Thanks in advance for your help!
RybSE
I have the same car (1,900 miles). I noticed a huge difference in the braking from the Fusion to our other car. I was almost afraid to drive the two on the same day. But now at almost 5 months I don't notice it anymore. I get the same lag with a hard acceleration especially from a stop or slow roll like when you're making a left turn. I don't have that experience if I'm at speed and begin a smooth acceleration.

Thanks. Ya the brake is annoying beause it makes me feel like a spaz, like I'm fresh out of driver's ed training and never driven a car. I'm wondering if the brakes have to wear-in a bit. Most of my miles were on the highway from a recent vacation road trip, not much braking. The hesitation condition is spooky, and makes me fearful in close traffic situations. I don't want the car thinking about moving, while I get broadsided. Hope this can be remedied.
