sah
Has anyone figured out a way to keep the shoulder belt off the passengers neck? My wife has developed a reash on the right side of her neck from the shoulder belt rubbing against it. We have tried making use of several types of "clips", but they are a nusance. They move around (slip/slide) and do not stay in place. I was thinking of putting a few stittches through the shoulder belt to attach it to the lap portion of the belt, with the idea being to make the shoulder belt get pulled over more toward her right shoulder (which is where it is normally supposed to be).
Chris Simons
Have you tried pulling on the lever to either raise or lower it? Right above the holder on the panel.

Hi sah. I don't know if the passenger seat height is adjustable in your model. If it is, have you/your wife raised the seat? Good luck.
FusionDiffusion
Slide the seat back, lower it, or recline the back more.

JGee
Sah, While you are standing around with your doors wide open waiting for the interior of your vehicle to cool down, do the following: have your wife sit in the passenger seat. move her seat all the way to the rear. open the passenger door window all the way with the one touch open switch. pull her seat belt all the way out of the retractor. now run the belt out around the door and back in thru the window while partially closing the door & do it up. move the passenger window up or down till the seatbelt feels comfortable for her. now you go around to her side and duct tape the belt to the window post and close the door. that should solve your immediate problem, though it may create a few others.
Chris Simons
I have also seen (in automotive stores like Autozone) sleeves that you can put on the seatbelt and it fastens with velcro. They are padded and not rough like the seatbelt itself.

When I first saw you post I really thought you were being a real smarty - but, after reading it a second time I'm really not sure!

Yes, we were thinking of one of those, but while we realize they are not as rough - it would still be against her neck, that in it's self is not good. I am also thinking of stitching the lower portion of the shoulder belt to the lap belt - that should make the shoulder portion come over toward her shoulder.

Only way to be sure is to try it! Once you get it all setup, drive over to the Dealer and ask them why they couldn't have done that for you.
