gladams
No replys,SO, I took the plunge and ordered this, and it should be here in a few days. I will post when complete. Would like to found a stiffer rear motor mount, the stock one has a lot of bank on hard acceleration and decell. I have an auto with paddles. I also ordered the rear sway and upper strut tower brace from Steeda and the K&N from Stage 3. Can't wait for them to arrive and get them on.
gladams
K&N on, sounds great and good throttle responce . Upper strut tower brace on, roll in front end less. Waiting on rear sway bar to arrive. Plan on installing it and removing strut bar to see if any difference. Plan on putting the spacer on saturday. Steeda sent me a banner for my garage wall,FREE. That was a nice thing for them to do. Will hang that saturday. :happy feet: I just love the smiles.
gladams
Got the spacer on. You can really here the turbo talking to you and the air sucking in. Feels stronger and quicker turbo response. So far I am loving my add ons. Rear sway is on back order, but Matt advised me it will ship Tues. or Weds. Didn't get the banner hung, but maybe this week. Can't deceide where to hang it. Maybe springs will be next?
gladams
Rear sway bar is on and car handles great and sounds awsome. Seems to have a good amount of pep and almost no turbo lag with K&N and spacer. Haven't really tested for better fuel mileage, sounds to good on throttle. Might test it later, but fuel mileage was not my intent. I just have this need for speed and handling. Whats next?
junehhan
My interest would be in mods that can help increase the top end of the engine. I realize that the options are probably limited without upgrading to a bigger turbo, but then you have other issues with that kind of upgrade. Having the brutally strong mid range torque is amazing, but it does not give you much of a reason to wind the engine past 4000-4500 rpms as the torque peak comes in early. I have owned some peaky engines before(95 and 99 Taurus SHO, Honda S2000) and that was always fun with those types of engines as they build and build as you get closer to redline.
gladams
My add ons are working great. I need a tune just to see how much it will feel with the computer unleashed, and some springs. (donations welcome) KEEP IT SAFE
gladams
Anyone try the throttle body spacer on their car fron boomba? Thought about trying it with the steeda manifold spacer. Steeda do you think this will work and/or are you guys going out with your own for the 2.o eco?
gladams
Contacted Steeda and was advised that the boomba TB spacer will work with the intake spacer. So now to boomba web to order. 64.99 + 8.05 shipping. Prefer free shipping but oh well. More to come
gladams
No order yet. I am still wondering if the focus st throttle body spacer will work on my fusion, since they are the same engine. Does anybody know for sure? Thanks

Fusion_Phil
Have you done suspension yet? All sounds good so far.
gladams
No work on the suspension yet. Saving for springs and tune after christmas. No issues with any of the mods so far. Drives good and sounds good, getting about 21mpg in town and not light on the peddle.
Bman505
I read earlier in your post about wanting a better rear engine mount. I was browsing around the web the other day and saw this. Forgive if you already knew about it. http://www.boombaracing.com/ford-fusion-rear-motor-mount/ If you get it and put it on, make sure you report back your opinion about it.

I seen this and heard that it vibrates the car more. Waiting to see if something better comes out or better reviews after someone uses it over a period of time. I think the steeda springs are next, then sway bar end links.
gladams
I understand the RMM from the focus ST will work (with mods) on these cars. May invest in the 50 or so bucks and see. I have been on 2GFUSION and they are using it on their cars. Less vibes then the boomba RMM. Anybody try this?
