RanchChief
Occasionally, my 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 23,000 miles will have a loud squeak (like the noise from the wiper motor shaft turning inside a rubber seal boot) with each stroke of the Driver's side Wiper Blade. It seems to be coming from the windshield, but I believe the noise is simply reflecting off of the windshield, because the wiper blade does not chatter on the glass. I have installed a brand new wiper blade without improving the occasional problem. I can find no reference to a similar problem by using the internet ... and of course it never happens when I'm visiting the dealership. Has anyone encountered a similar symptom .......... and knows how to fix it?
thefoeyouknow
Is the end of one of the wipers contacting the windshield at all?

I want to move this up the chain to your regional customer service manager (CSM). To get things started, send me a private message (PM) with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll get this into your CSM's hands. RanchChief
To: thefoeyouknow .......... The wiper blades rubber elements clear the windshield beautifully, with good contact in all areas. The plastic blades themselves do not contact the windshield.
thefoeyouknow
How about where the shaft comes through the cowl panel?
RanchChief
To the member named "thefoeyouknow" ......... you called it correctly. With the Driver's side wiper arm pulled back from the glass, the intermittent squeak continued. I could see contact between the wiper arm shaft and the plastic cowling. The cowling hole is not aligned properly with the wiper arm shaft. A little grease on the shaft provided a temporary short term fix. I will need to find a way to cut through the cowling to provide additional clearance. Thank you for the tip

JeffreyDFoldenauer
I am having the same issue with my 2014 Fusion Titanium. Driver's side only; I tried replacing the wipers and ended up with a very expensive set of wipers with the same annoying problem.

MKXC
I'm having the same issue on my 2017 Fusion Sport since brand new, on both sides, the passenger's side is the loudest It only happens when it is wet, it gets so loud it's embarrassing The service staff at the dealer have not been able to fix it, they have replaced both wiper blades, a wiper motor, however, the squeak is still there I have taped it to show it to my service advisor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1qmIN768Qo
