mjktg99
When I remove the key from the car, is it still drivable? I ask because I am used to a remote start where you can "remote start" the car when its already running and remove the key and get out of the car. Hitting the brake would shut off the engine thus preventing anyone from driving away. Obviously, with push button start, hitting the brake does not kill the engine. akirby
Remote start won't let you drive off without a valid key. If the car is running normally and you remove the key it will keep running until you shut it off. At that point you get a message and you have 20 seconds to restart it without the key. After that you're stuck until you get a key.
