Auto dimming mirror

I just  ordered a 2014  Fusion SE and ran into the same thing.  Even Fords chat line said to go with the aftermarket.

You would think they would adjust thier 201 or 202 packages to include it in one or the other without having to delete something else to get it.

I'll be going with the aftermarket but don't like it.

OP was about adding an auto dimming mirror..

My point was that the ad referenced by Rocket_Pak was being interpreted to be an auto dimming mirror with a monitor (for backup cam).

I am sure that it is not an electrochromic mirror. Only part that dims is the monitor portion.

You need to read these carefully and not assume a product performs a specific function unless it states so explicitly.

Ambiguity sells a lot of products to people that are later disappointed when they don't meet their "expectations".

So, has anyone added the Gentex auto-dim mirror to their 2014 Fusion?

I really liked the auto-dimming rearview mirror in my Mercury Grand Marquis. Somewhat missing it in the 2014 Fusion SE I just picked up.

I'll be installing a dashcam system pretty soon. Perhaps I'll see whether the required wiring for the auto-dim mirror is indeed present, while I'm poking around in the headliner
