akirby
None of the above. Go to tirerack.com - lots of choices including Michelin and Continental.
drolds1
What vehicle are you planning to put these on? Goodyear Wrangler is an all-terrain tire intended for SUVs and light trucks. The second one is a passenger car tire.
andyross
I recently bought Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus tires. Top-rated on TireRack for the Grand Touring All Season category. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Pirelli&tireModel=Cinturato+P7+All+Season+Plus&partnum=25VR7CP7ASP&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=Ford&autoYear=2011&autoModel=Fusion&autoModClar=SEL http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=GTAS&width=225%2F&ratio=50&diameter=17&tireSearch=true&filter=y Edited January 12, 2015 by andyross
propwash
Those two sizes you gave are way too far apart for me to even consider using them on the same car. The first one, 235/75-R15, has an approximate diameter of 28.88 inches. The diameter of the second, 225/50-R17, is about 25.86 inches. That three inch difference in diameter is going to throw your speedometer and odometer way out of whack. Like more than a 10% error. What year/model Fusion do you have?
akirby
The first one is a SUV TIRE AND SIZE.
jon50iowa
Recently I replaced my Michelins with another set of 17' A/S Energy. Could not be happier! The ride is comfortable, crisp handling, and good wet traction. The first set remained in solid condition having racked up 61K, with maybe 10K left. Personally though, I would never go that thin with my tires, regardless of wear indicators. Gas mileage is very good also.
AndyT
I agree with the above post. I replaced my OEM set of Michelins with the same thing that came off, Energy Saver A/S. They handle great, and seem to be an all around good tire. They cost more, but you get what you pay for.
norcal81
I recently bought Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus tires. Top-rated on TireRack for the Grand Touring All Season category. If you have an SE, the 17" Michelin Energy A/S tires are very nice. They run quiet, smooth and handle well. If you have a Titanium I second Andy's thoughts on the Pirellis. I put a set of Cinturanto P7 AS Plus tires on my Ti with the 19" wheels and they are much better than the the Contiprocontacts that came with the car. As I put more miles on the Pireliis, and they break in, they feel and sound better. Edited January 29, 2015 by norcal81
daniylo
For all season tires, I would go with Conti DWS. I heard positive feedback about them.
