whitehat09
Hi, I am the happy new owner of a 2014 Ruby Red Fusion Hybrid SE. This is my first post. I've been looking into additional accessories I can get for my FFH. After looking over what Weathertech offers I noticed that the Weathertech side window deflectors (seen here: http://www.weathertech.com/ford/2014/fusion/side-window-deflectors/) are "in channel", while the Ford OEM deflectors (seen here: http://accessories.ford.com/catalog/product/view/id/10655/s/kit-window-shade/category/154/) use adhesive. So I was wondering if other users here have a preference over channel vs adhesive, have any experience with either the WT product or the OEM one, any additional thoughts? Thanks in advance
Ruby_red14
In channel is what I have, from weathertech. Only "problem" I have is the slight click noise when rolling up the Windows. Rear Windows are not as bad as they come with a clip to hold in the deflector. Really just need to go out to the car and think, do I like the stream look of in channel or slightly more noticeable stick on. I like the in channel.
whitehat09
Thanks. Ya, I was leaning towards the in-channel as well but wanted to hear from others who have bought the WeatherTechs. Thanks for the feedback.
fusionff
I can't stand the look of the stick on visors, in channel for the win. I don't have them on my Fusion, but on my truck I have EGR in channel vent visors.
mozz
People have window problems with the in channel. Function or form?
BeerDelivery04
I had the Ventshade set in channel for my 2011 and they were nothing but problems. No window could be put all the way without hitting the vent visor. Had to put my finger in, which didn't feel safe. Also, they didn't fit well in the channel. I removed them and noticed they had cracked in all four windows in the corners of each door where the front door meets the rear door. I have thought about weather techs, but I have also thought of just getting the out of channel set and hopefully not deal with what I have already.
timwil56
I did a little more searching and found this thread, so I thought I'd post it here too. I haven't received my 2017 yet, in fact it's still in order processing, but I'm already thinking about a trunk liner, molded splash guards, husky floor liners and maybe, this is a big maybe, installing window vents. I did a search on autoanything.com and they had some low profile visors for the 2017, which might look OK, but attach to the exterior. I don't want to attach visors to the exterior and cover the upper chrome window trim. Anyone out there with a 2013 or newer with in channel visors? Where did you get them, how do they fit, do they ever cause the window to "bounce back" and do they cause the window to slow or bind when sealing?

I have a 2014 fusion with Weathertech in channel been on it from the day I drove it home. They look great and have had no problems at all with them On 1/25/2017 at 12:42 PM, jpdooley said: Edited March 16, 2018 by Susan
