2008 fusion with a sunroof/moonroof issue

First off it's not leaking, and for that I am grateful. But the inner sunroof liner is stuck open. I lent my car to my son (yes, I know) and I suspect he may have pushed the liner back before opening the roof with rather more force than I might have exerted. Anyway, on one side (passenger) it's clearly free to move but on the other it's stuck. Basically it won't slide. And the concertina rubber that seals when the vent is open is stuck to it (maybe under it?) Anyway, when you open the roof, the rubber on that side stays in the original position. I've tried attaching it back with the clips, but as soon as the roof is retracted it comes away again. Looking at from inside the car, it's clear that the drivers side is not properly in the appropriate groove. It's maybe 2 or 3 mm out of alignment compared to the other side. It's in the groove but it's not the same as the other side. It's dark here so I can't get a picture which would make it clearer.

I suppose I could let it go - I raarely use this but it's bugging me, and now the days are getting hot, the car heats up much more quickly because the liner isn't closed. And, as I said, it's bugging me.

I suppse I wondering if there are any exploded diagrams that show how this is supposed to go together and if there is some way to fix this that doesn't involve a run to the dealer or a bodyshop.

Thank you
