fusionHHO
LOL! I have been searching the internet for the answer to this question. I have seen many pictures of the sensor (Motorcraft P/N CX1976) but nowhere can I find a pic of its location and after prodding thru my car's engine compartment, I've given up for now and am hoping someone here knows! Thanks in advance! Scott
Jimmy G
Aren't those used only on "speed density" systems?
itamecameron
Our cars do not have a Mass Air Pressure sensor in them. They have a Mass Air Flow sensor which is located on the air intake box before the tube that leads to the throttle body, our cars cousin the Mazda 6 uses a MAP sensor, this is the main reason you cannot use a CAI designed for a Mazda 6 for our cars. here is the D23 and the D30 BTW a MAP and MAF sensor would always be located in the intake somewhere after the filter element but before the throttle body, its pretty obvious since its most likely the only electrical component plugged into our intakes. Hope this info helps you out!

I should've posted a reply stating that I figured it out and that's what I figured that was, but it was strange to see a 6-wire MAP or MAF sensor... so I figured that wasn't it! I'm admittedly NOT a gearhead, I'm more of a cracker/hacker! (computer geek!) I appreciate your reply bro! My next step is to figure out which wire is the signal wire going to the ECU as I need to alter that signal.... there's no Haynes or Chilton's yet for my car that I can find... Thanks again!
