Logos Peeling

Lately, I've been noticing a clear layer that has begun to peel around the Ford ovals...first I noticed it on the trunk logo, now I'm also seeing it on the grille logo as well. Unlike the issue with many older F-150s, this is just around the "chrome" outer trim of the logo, not the blue field or script areas. At first it seemed like a protective shipping sticker that someone forgot to remove at the factory after installing the parts (similar to what you'd find on many electronics when you first take them out of the box), but instead I'm beginning to think it's delaminating.

Anyone else experienced this? Anyone replaced the logos before? Are they held on with double-stick tape? Screw(s)?

After reading about other quality issues with the "chrome" grille, I'm hesitant to touch anything attached to it if it's attached with adhesive. Despite how I like to keep my car looking new, I'm tempted to ignore this as a) it's plastic, b ) you only really notice it when you're up close and/or touching it, and c) I have a nice big scratch to deal with in my rear quarter panel some jerk gave me in a parking lot.

Replaced the rear logos on both of our 2010 Fusions under warranty.

The entire rear bar with the license plate lights had to be taken off.

It's a PIA.

Front logo is attached to the grille with 2 push on metal washers over plastic ends (easy to break off).

Had to take both cars in, have the dealer take pictures to submit for warranty work and then bring both cars back in for the repair!!

The whole rear bar has to be removed? All of the replacement badges I've seen on eBay look like they're just stuck on with double-stick tape.

It's looking like leaving it alone is the best option.
