mannymendez25
The top part of the steering wheel on my 2006 SE is torn to shreds. I would like to replace it with a leather one from either a Fusion or Milan. I noticed the leather ones for sale on ebay have different button configurations. If I were to order one are those buttons removable? Can i remove the buttons on my steering wheel and install them on the new replacement wheel? Also, has anyone replaced thier steering wheel? How difficult is it?
eGuru
I was hoping to try to replace the standard wheel on a 2012 SE with a leather wheel from a 2012 SEL. Anybody try this or have an opinion about any problems that may be encountered? Thanks

eGuru
I was hoping to try to replace the standard wheel on a 2012 SE with a leather wheel from a 2012 SEL. Anybody try this or have an opinion about any problems that may be encountered? Thanks I ended up successfully replacing the steering wheel in my SE with a leather wheel from an SEL. I had more buttons for the radio functions but that wasn't an issue as I have an after-market head unit with a SWI that is programmable to any steering wheel button configuration. All you need is an inexpensive puller (with correct metric thread bolts) and some simple tools. Just be careful about centering the wheels before starting the job and don't let the clockspring rotate from its original position. Of course you will have disconnected the battery before starting so yo don't set off the airbag accidentally.
