akirby
And that WAS the plan - bring the CD4 Taurus to both the U.S. and China. But Ford changed their mind about the new U.S. CD4 Taurus for whatever reason within the last 12 months. I have no idea whether the picture is a Fusion ST or not - I'm not basing anything on that.
Waldo
I'd love to see a Fusion ST but my claims that the car in these photos could be a Chinese spec SHO rather than a Fusion have as much validity as the speculation that its a Fusion ST. We shall see. It's very simple, the Chinese Taurus does not have the "div bar" in the front window near the mirror, the Fusion does.
Cobra348
If - and I emphasize IF - an ST comes to the Fusion line, will something also be done in that vein for the hyrid and energi models? While I'm happy with the 2.0L atkinson, I'd like a bit more oomph on the gas pedal if possible. Yeah, I know ... not something a hybrid driver would wnt, but at times I need the power.

That would be counter productive since it would most certainly lower mpg.
DuratorqSupporter
Well, since we are speculating about a Hybrid Fusion ST, I would love to point out that Europe enjoys a Diesel version of the Focus ST.... which gets significantly better fuel economy than the gas ST.... would be cool to see a diesel hybrid Fusion ST.... lol
andyross
Let's hope VW's issues don't do to diesels in the US what GM/Oldsmobile did to them in the 80's.
14se1.5
It was nice to see the new Fusion sport with the 2.7l turbo at NAIAS. As previously thought months ago, they are adding a performance version.
